Quick Fix for Outlook
**Please note that microsoft are making regular updates to fix the issue so this may have to be done multiple times**
1. Close outlook completely
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Search Mail, and double click
4. Go to Email Accounts
5. Select the Email account you want to fix
Take note of Your Account Type - Pop3 or IMAP
If your account type is POP3:
- Click More settings
- Click Advanced
- Under Incoming server, check the box there to activate SSL , this should change your Port number to either 110 OR 995.
- Under Outgoing server, select SSL, and then change the port number to 465
- Press "OK" and then "Next" to save the account settings.
- When it says finished, close and return to outlook.
If your account type is IMAP:
- Click More settings
- Click Advanced
- Under Incoming server, check the box there to activate SSL and change your port number to 993
- Under Outgoing server, select SSL, and then change the port number to 465
- Press "OK" and then "Next" to save the account settings.
- When it says finished, close and return to outlook.
