The business was started in 1952 from within a machine tool company called 'Ackworthie Machines (Holdings)'.
This business developed by manufacturing special threading tools for the 'Nut and Fastener' manufacturing Industry and they patented and perfected unique products to substantially improve cost effective manufacture of these products.
Goliath continued to develop long shank nut taps, bent shank and finally nib and coupling taps for the Fastener Industry in the UK and around the World.
